The Spotted Cow has a fantastic drinks selection and has one of the best stocked back bars in Bristol with an extensive range of Whisky, Rum, and Gin.

Best Pub Winner - Bristol Lifestyle Awards

We support local breweries with a regularly changing range of cask ales including Dawkins, Bristol Beer Factory, Twisted Oak, and many more and we are listed in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide. We also have a good selection of craft ales on keg including Laguanitas and Purity plus Heineken, Amstel, and Birra Moretti. Adding to this there is a great choice of cider including Orchard Pig and Thatchers and North Street Cider plus we have always have a traditional cloudy cider on handpull.

The wine list is sourced from local importers and is strictly European with a lot of the wines coming from small French vineyards which means you will find wines not seen in many bars and restaurants.

  • The menu makes for interesting reading, not least because the Cow have extended their 'local, sustainable, ethical' food-sourcing policy to include 'grown on the premises', with a roof garden providing many of the vegetables and herbs used in the kitchen.

  • Well it's great to get back in the Spotted Cow with their gorgeous Sunday lunch. The pork belly was stunning and the gravy was to die for! Great food, super friendly service and felt very comfortable in these strange times.

  • Booked for a Saturday place was very busy but service was quick & efficient. The food was local and homemade we were very impressed with the kitchen making a lot of the starters from scratch (Scotch eggs etc). The service at the table was excellent and we were able to order bar drinks at the table. it gets a little noisy but there is certainly a great hubbub. I understand Sunday lunch is very popular

  • The Spotted Cow was one of the first pubs in Bristol to place an emphasis on locally sourced and organic produce... North Street has come a long way over the years and The Spotted Cow has had a hand to play in its resurgence.

  • Great for social drinks. Sat indoors on a Saturday evening which was set up well for social distancing. There was a good drinks selection, and food quality. Efficient and friendly staff and service.
